Wetland Holding Water

The new wetland is shaping up brilliantly. We didn’t expect the earth bunds to hold water, but as the sediment has washed into them, they’ve become solid and doing a great job.

Next month we plan to shift the 20 varieties of harakeke from Tairāwhiti to the wetland, so all our special Tairāwhiti plants are together; plus some muka varieties for the weavers to make cloaks from.
